• Plan project on-site activities with the Project Manager, including resources, equipment and milestones • Coordinate customer and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization and policy • Manage the site from receipt of the assigned area through handover to the customer • Coordinate start-up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning activities • Serve as project representative on site • Build and maintain relationships with customers and local stakeholders • Ensure correct handling, storage and installation of equipment and materials • Report received goods to project logistics • Ensure current risk assessments and method statements are in place for each work package • Ensure on-site resources are trained and promote health and safety throughout the project • Control site project costs, monitor spend against forecasts and estimate final costs • Maintain updated documentation and ensure the latest revisions are used • Manage on-site subcontractors to achieve required quality, progress and delivery standards • Report site activities, HSE, quality, progress and cost to the Project Manager
• Bachelor's in electrical/mechanical engineering, or equivalent skills • 5+ years’ experience in construction and/or installation business • Good understanding of transmission regulations and current HSE legislation • Proven leadership skills with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach • Strong communication skills • Proactive and flexible personality • Scottish Power authorised • Unable to provide visa support for this position
