📋 Description

• Manage, monitor and improve production AWS and Linux infrastructure • Run and maintain nginx, Apache, Redis, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and relational database services • Maintain and improve infrastructure as code, configuration management and CI/CD using Terraform, Ansible and Bitbucket Pipelines • Manage CDN and WAF layers across Akamai and Cloudflare • Monitor platform health and performance, respond to alerts and improve resilience • Own production incidents, troubleshoot systems, networking, databases and infrastructure, identify root causes and restore service • Automate repetitive operational work using Python and Bash • Participate in the shared 24/7 on-call rota once fully onboarded • Work with Software Engineers and other technical teams to keep Snappy's systems secure, reliable and performant

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience in DevOps, Systems Administration or a similar infrastructure role • Strong hands-on Linux experience in business-critical production environments • Experience troubleshooting across operating systems, networking, web infrastructure and databases • Strong AWS experience • Strong infrastructure-as-code experience • Experience with automation and CI/CD • Ability to take ownership of production issues • Experience with Linux, nginx, Apache, Redis, MariaDB/RDS/Postgres, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Terraform and CDN/WAF technologies • Comfortable participating in a shared 24/7 on-call rota • Experience with Bitbucket Pipelines, Ansible and monitoring tools such as Zabbix, CloudWatch, Pingdom or New Relic useful • Working knowledge of PHP or Node.js useful • Experience within PCI DSS or ISO 27001 environments useful • Python and Bash automation skills • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
