It operates 24/7 emergency call-taking and rapid-response interventions for home incidents (fires, water damage, electrical faults, locksmithing), offers remote damage expertise and cost estimation, and manages repair-in-kind through a national network of vetted contractors. IMH also runs digital platforms to support project estimation and paid home-service offerings, coordinates large-scale catastrophe responses, and connects insurers, beneficiaries and service providers via its accredited prestataire network.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and resolve coding edits in assigned Epic work queues • Review medical record documentation and assign appropriate CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes and modifiers • Evaluate coding bundling guidelines and modifier usage • Communicate coding and denial trends and provider education opportunities to coding leadership • Communicate with providers through Epic in-basket messages and email • Provide education and training for medical providers and coders • Perform quality assurance audits within the specialty team • Ensure compliance with coding regulations and guidelines • Assist leadership in crafting communications, tip sheets, and workflows • Monitor and evaluate coding workflows to identify improvement opportunities • Investigate and respond to coding requests using coding knowledge and source-based research • Promote Intermountain Health’s mission, vision, values, and service behavior standards • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required • Minimum of five (5) years of pro fee coding experience • At least three (3) years within assigned specialty service line • Required credential: CPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist Physician (CCS-P) • Requires E/M (Evaluation & Management) coding experience • Experience coding for the assigned specialty specific service line • CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding • Prior Epic/PB Resolute experience • Microsoft Office suite proficiency • Prefer previous experience using Epic and working work queues • Preferred seven plus (7+) years of related coding experience • Preferred related specialty coding credential • Ability to navigate Epic EMR, reports, and work queues • Understanding of Medicare Physician Fee Schedule • Ability to use Optum Encoder Pro • Ability to communicate effectively with providers and colleagues • Ability to perform quality assurance audits • Ability to comply with coding regulations and guidelines
