📋 Description

• Establish and lead a Quality Center of Excellence to transform automated testing and quality practices across approximately 700 engineers • Lead a small team of test automation experts who partner with product engineering teams to diagnose quality gaps, teach sustainable testing practices, and build lasting capability • Define and maintain a quality maturity model/scorecard measuring test pyramid health, automation coverage, test reliability/flakiness, and DORA alignment • Conduct portfolio reviews to identify systemic quality risks, gaps, anti-patterns, and technical debt • Aggregate quality signals, translate technical findings into business-risk language, and report quality maturity trends to engineering leadership • Prioritize QCoE engagement based on strategic impact and risk • Coach engineering teams on unit, acceptance/contract, integration, and E2E testing architecture • Build and teach reusable test automation patterns, frameworks, golden-path templates, and contract/API testing practices • Help teams reduce brittle E2E suites by strengthening acceptance and contract-testing layers • Coach teams on flaky-test remediation, test maintainability, and scalable test infrastructure • Connect test pyramid health and automation practices to DORA outcomes • Run bootcamps, office hours, embedded pairing sessions, and internal certification/maturity programs • Evaluate, pilot, and guide adoption of AI-powered and agentic testing tools • Establish guardrails and communicate AI testing opportunities and risks to leadership • Hire, manage, and mentor senior test automation engineers • Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations stakeholders to align remediation roadmaps

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience • Hands-on testing and software quality assurance experience in fast-paced, iterative environments, including multi-tenant SaaS products • Experience testing SaaS/multi-tenant products with on-demand continuous deployment • Familiarity with canaries, feature flags, staged rollouts, simultaneous product versions, and continuous-deployment testing strategies • Deep expertise in test pyramid strategy across unit, acceptance/contract, and integration testing, with a record of reducing E2E over-reliance • Proven experience coaching or consulting with engineering teams using influence without authority • Expert background in test automation and quality engineering programs • Coding proficiency in at least one modern language, such as C#, Java, TypeScript, or Python • Experience with CI/CD principles, tools, infrastructure, version control, and source control management tools such as GitHub or Azure DevOps • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GitHub; Docker; Kubernetes; and multi-tiered infrastructure • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and with Agile metrics, or willingness to learn DORA metrics deeply • Experience evaluating, piloting, or implementing AI-powered testing tools or agentic solutions • Experience building or presenting quality maturity scorecards/dashboards and communicating technical risk to VP+ or leadership audiences • Foundational understanding of AI concepts and prompt engineering • Desirable: REST APIs, databases, SQL, test automation frameworks, financial software, SaaS, or similar complex product domains

🏖️ Benefits
