📋 Description

• Complete insurer statement reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly • Proactively manage and chase outstanding debts, focusing on reducing aged debt • Post receipts and accurately reconcile client and insurer accounts • Investigate and resolve accounting and reconciliation queries with relevant stakeholders • Prepare and issue payment advice documents to insurers • Complete daily, weekly and month-end reconciliations and balancing activities • Calculate and reconcile commission due • Produce and distribute credit control and aged debt reports • Ensure payments and accounting activities are accurate, efficient and compliant with company procedures and regulatory requirements • Develop and maintain relationships with insurers, clients, customers and internal stakeholders • Own queries and outstanding items through to resolution

🎯 Requirements

• Previous Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA) experience • Good knowledge and understanding of IBA procedures and processes • Experience using Acturis and/or other insurance broking accounting systems • Strong reconciliation and accounting skills, with excellent attention to detail • Experience in credit control and aged debt management, but not essential • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with both internal and external stakeholders • A collaborative, proactive and can-do attitude, with a high level of integrity • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook • Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and manage workload effectively in a remote environment
