📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive building services maintenance and ensure optimal operation of building infrastructure systems • Maintain detailed knowledge of building services systems and contingency procedures • Operate and maintain building systems efficiently • Act as Duty Authorised Person (LV) when required • Issue relevant site permits as part of the Safe System of Work • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks • Conduct building tours to identify and address defects • Ensure accurate system updates • Implement and record statutory inspections, including fire safety, access equipment, and water hygiene • Ensure specialist service provider work meets quality standards • Escalate recommendations to the Technical Manager • Maintain housekeeping standards across plant areas, workshops, stores, and rest areas • Identify required materials and complete internal Materials Request Forms • Ensure compliance with statutory health, safety, and environmental regulations • Lead, motivate, and direct a small team of technicians and operatives • Work 08:00–17:00 subject to property requirements, plus an on-call rota for emergency response

🎯 Requirements

• Approved apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Building Services • Formal qualifications in electrical engineering • Experience as an end user of Building Management Systems • 18th Edition IEE: Wiring & Installation • Previous LV/HV Authorised Person experience • C&G 2360 Parts 1 and 2 (or equivalent) • C&G 2391 (Desirable) • Comprehensive knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation regarding safe working practices • Strong administrative and organisational capabilities • Intermediate computer literacy using Windows Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Excellent numeracy, literacy, and report writing skills • Excellent communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to lead, motivate, and direct a small team of technicians and operatives • Effective prioritization, problem-solving, adaptability, and attention to detail • Reliable, conscientious, proactive, and customer-service oriented
