📋 Description

• Develop, deploy, and improve algorithms running in Keen AI Cortex • Own algorithmic features end-to-end by designing, implementing, testing, shipping, and monitoring them in production • Contribute to adjacent Python backend projects involving Django, FastAPI APIs, and AWS infrastructure • Maintain engineering practices including code review, tests, CI gates, documentation, and ticketed workflows • Use AI coding tools with judgment and identify confidently incorrect model output • Develop algorithms from business ideas into production code • Collaborate on solutions and provide constructive technical pushback • Communicate across Product, Research, and Engineering • Write design documents, identify tradeoffs, and drive decisions • Work directly with the Lead Engineer and Principal Algorithms Architect

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years shipping production Python on a team • Knowledge of inference methods, particularly in economics and business domains, including time-series models or state-space modeling, probability modeling, and multivariate systems • Comfortable with tests, CI, code review, documentation, and ticketed workflows • Hands-on experience with AWS and Docker • Ability to operate independently, scope work, communicate with stakeholders, and make judgment calls • Clear written and spoken communication • Mathematics foundation in linear algebra, probability, and statistics • Ability to read and write mathematical specifications and interpret and improve documented solutions • Working knowledge of pandas and NumPy for implementing algorithms • Nice-to-have: Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) or another econometric background • Nice-to-have: Bayesian inference experience • Nice-to-have: Optimization exposure • Nice-to-have: Track record of developing mathematical algorithms into shipped production systems
