📋 Description

• Design, deploy, and administer Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/CentOS) systems supporting enterprise applications and services • Lead migration of legacy on-premises data center workloads to AWS GovCloud • Support the customer's data center exit initiative, including four planned data center consolidations • Administer VMware vSphere/vCenter environments, including capacity planning, patching, and lifecycle management • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code and configuration management for repeatable, auditable deployments • Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity/access management across hybrid environments • Partner with security engineering to remediate vulnerabilities, apply STIG/hardening baselines, and support continuous monitoring activities • Participate in the design and testing of business disaster continuity and recovery solutions for critical financial and mission systems • Produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks • Provide Tier 3 escalation support • Participate in an on-call rotation for production incidents • Support Koniag IT Systems and its federal civilian government customer during data center consolidation and cloud modernization

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in server and/or cloud engineering roles • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience • Expert-level administration of Windows Server and Linux operating systems in an enterprise environment • Hands-on experience migrating workloads to AWS; AWS GovCloud experience strongly preferred • Experience with VMware virtualization (vSphere/vCenter) at enterprise scale • Experience with Containers/Kubernetes, FinOps/cost-optimization and Zero Trust principals • Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tooling such as Terraform and Ansible • Strong understanding of enterprise networking, Active Directory, and identity/access management fundamentals • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to produce technical documentation and diagrams • Ability to obtain public trust clearance • Experience working in a federal government IT environment desired • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate desired • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent desired • Experience with federal data center exit/consolidation projects desired • Experience supporting financial, loan-servicing, or capital-access application environments desired • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 controls and FedRAMP-authorized cloud services desired
