📋 Description

• Ensure that systems designed to support our new initiatives are high-performing, well-considered, and scalable. • Analyze the ecosystem of existing systems and infrastructure to identify opportunities to improve architecture, reduce duplication, and make our systems more robust. • Identify trends and recurring issues that cause incidents or out-of-project operational work, and develop a plan to address them. • Drive and lead improvements related to the reliability and performance of our systems. • Optimize our development practices, including architecture reviews, testing, deployment, and incident management. • Conduct in-depth architectural analyses (deep dives) and act as a mentor to key members across all service teams. • As a senior member of the engineering team, you will also play a key role in building a high-performance culture within the Retail organization. • Contribute to team-wide efforts to achieve organizational objectives, even if that requires performing tasks that fall outside your strict job description.

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of professional experience in software development. • 5+ years of experience as a technical leader overseeing multiple teams concurrently. • 2+ years of experience managing architecture across multiple teams totaling more than 35 engineers. • Proven track record in developing mission-critical cloud systems at scale. • A history of delivering business-critical results within tight or ambitious timelines. • Experience with more than one technology stack (e.g., Go, PHP, Java, RoR, Python, etc.). • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present your ideas concisely. • A natural aptitude for moderating technical discussions, reconciling diverse viewpoints, and making swift decisions.
