📋 Description

• Drive delivery of new global client portal capabilities that improve client value and product adoption • Design, build, and maintain high-quality .NET 10 backend services and APIs • Lead migration from legacy application/database endpoints to modern REST-based services • Own architecture and implementation decisions for the portal • Ensure code quality through standards, code reviews, and maintainable engineering practices • Partner with product, engineering, business, architecture, QA, DevOps/Platform, security, and other stakeholders • Apply secure and resilient DevSecOps engineering practices • Monitor emerging technology trends, including AI opportunities and risks, and apply them pragmatically • Act as senior technical point of contact for the product area • Mentor and support teammates in a small Scrum team • Review health and safety risk registers and apply appropriate controls • Manage team compliance with health and safety rules, systems, and legal requirements • Monitor health and safety performance and implement corrective, preventive, and improvement actions

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of commercial software engineering experience • Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET, including .NET 10, in production environments • Strong experience building ASP.NET Core APIs • Good Azure platform experience for application hosting, integrations, and operational delivery • Strong SQL capability with PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server, including performance-minded data access patterns • Practical experience with Redis caching strategies • Experience implementing robust validation patterns, including FluentValidation • Strong understanding of secure API development and modern authentication/authorisation approaches, including Auth0 or equivalent identity platforms • Experience working with CI/CD and delivery pipelines, including Azure DevOps • Experience applying AI in day-to-day engineering practice • OpenTelemetry implementation experience • Vertical Slice Architecture experience • Event-driven architecture experience • Experience owning and evolving a product over time in a fast-moving environment • Self-starter with strong ownership mindset and bias for action • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Demonstrable code quality focus and commitment to engineering excellence • Comfortable working in a small Agile/Scrum team across the full delivery lifecycle • Ability to identify and manage technical risk and opportunity • Must satisfy applicable right-to-work requirements; pre-employment checks may include identity, right to work, employment history, education, and criminal records
