📋 Description

• Install, refurbish and maintain high-voltage equipment • Interpret electrical drawings and records • Carry out electrical testing and fault finding • Perform mechanical modifications and repairs • Complete assessment and completion reports • Install, test and commission substations • Install and modify AC/DC wiring and earthing • Assess safety and apply required controls and safety measures • Complete RAMS, job packs, test certificates and reports • Facilitate a safe working environment during high- and low-voltage work • Ensure work complies with Lucy Electric and customer standards, policies and procedures • Maintain authorisations in accordance with legislative, safety and industry best-practice requirements • Liaise with the team to understand and manage priorities • Attend required training and continuous development opportunities • Support peers in HV engineering delivery and lead projects when required

🎯 Requirements

• Certified in electricity at work • Experience delivering efficient and effective services to customers on site or from an office planning environment • Good knowledge of health and safety and its practical implications • Computer literate and skilled in MS Office • Technically qualified with a BTEC, C&G or equivalent apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering • Full driver's licence • Willingness to travel and work weekends as overtime or with a day off in the week • Valid authorisations for Private Networks, UKPN, SSEN and WPD • Proven experience in the electrical and/or distribution industry (desirable) • First aid, IPAF, PASMA and SMSTS training (desirable) • 18th Edition / 2391 inspection and testing (desirable) • Mentoring of trainees (desirable) • Willingness to work weekends and call-outs (desirable) • Willingness to travel abroad for 2–3 day trips (desirable) • Good interpersonal skills with a pleasant and can-do attitude • Highly organised and tidy • Positive and confident approach to tasks • Good problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently, within or leading a team
