📋 Description

• Conduct an independent current-state assessment of data protection and AI governance arrangements • Identify immediate and priority gaps • Complete a full gap assessment and prioritised remediation plan • Distinguish legal requirements, regulatory good practice and proportionate organisational controls • Review and strengthen policies, procedures, privacy documentation, tools register, AI assessment and DPIA approach • Review how data protection and AI governance operate across the business • Simplify processes and make them easier to understand and follow • Establish practical AI and technology governance for third-party tools, Microsoft 365, Copilot, integrations and internally developed AI agents • Create approaches for assessment, approval, documentation and escalation • Advise whether a formal DPO is legally required • Recommend an ongoing data protection governance model and appropriate specialist support • Test the governance approach against real-world use cases • Work with stakeholders across the COO Office & Transformation, IT, HR and AI implementation activities

🎯 Requirements

• Relevant professional data protection/privacy qualification • Substantial practical experience in data protection and privacy governance • Experience working with globally operating businesses • Understanding of data protection considerations for international operations, suppliers and data handling • Practical expertise in Microsoft 365 and Copilot • Expertise in AI governance, including generative AI, third-party AI tools, enterprise integrations and internally developed AI agents • Experience reviewing operational practices and converting findings into usable processes and guidance • Ability to translate complex technical or legal subjects into clear, pragmatic guidance • Practical, enabling approach to governance • Confidence to lead, challenge and form an independent professional view • Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience considering privacy and governance across enterprise platforms such as Salesforce is beneficial
