📋 Description

• Lead and/or support a wide range of activities in shaping and driving forward the balance sheet and capital management activities across the M&G plc shareholder business • Provide insight on the financial strength and risks to M&G plc through analysis of the shareholder balance sheet and the key reporting metrics • Help develop, implement, monitor and optimise against risk appetite, capital management, asset liability and/or liquidity frameworks • Identify, develop and implement balance sheet and capital management solutions • Develop and manage Group capital and risk appetite frameworks, policies, MI and compliance monitoring • Support the Head of Shareholder Capital Management in preparing governance and strategy papers and carrying initiatives through to implementation • Respond to emerging regulatory, balance sheet and stakeholder demands and support business-wide initiatives which impact the shareholder balance sheet

🎯 Requirements

• An ability to think clearly and simplify complex financial situations into simple messages and proposals • Experience of effectively communicating and influencing on complex issues to a wide range of stakeholders • An ability to quickly understand the financial dynamics of a business and the key factors that impact different financial measures • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including drafting Board and committee papers • Strong delivery focus and attitude with ability to manage against complex stakeholder requirements and short timescales when required • Excellent technical (actuarial) knowledge with attention to detail • Experience of proactively managing and progressing multiple work items concurrently
