📋 Description

• Own the group-wide financial control environment and act as the primary link between day-to-day financial operations and the CFO's strategic agenda • Hold ultimate accountability for consolidated financial control across all group entities • Lead and develop the Financial Controller and Assistant Financial Controller • Oversee transactional and transformation workstreams in a fast-growing, private equity-backed business • Close the group's books and defend the audit • Lead financial due diligence for transactions • Project-manage consolidation or ERP system implementations • Support the CFO on refinancing, M&A, and investor reporting • Set group-wide accounting policy and control standards • Review and sign off consolidated management and statutory accounts • Build a scalable finance structure through restructuring, hiring, and process design • Own resource planning and workload prioritisation across transactional and reporting teams • Support post-acquisition integration of acquired entities' finance data, controls, and people • Own group taxes, including Corporation tax, Transfer pricing, VAT, and Payroll taxes • Own consolidation and FP&A tooling and drive automation and standardisation of reporting and month-end close • Ensure multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation processes support growth • Own the external audit relationship and process • Oversee treasury activity, cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and refinancing or facility negotiations where required • Identify and manage financial and operational risk across the group

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) • Strong post-qualification experience at Group Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or Group Finance Director level • Experience operating within private equity-backed and/or high-growth SaaS or technology businesses • Exposure to PE reporting cycles and investor expectations • Direct experience leading financial due diligence (FDD) workstreams and/or supporting the sale, acquisition, or refinancing of a business • Experience managing multi-entity group consolidation and statutory/management reporting, including international or multi-currency structures • Experience leading and developing finance teams through a management layer • Strong external audit management experience • Solid command of GAAP/IFRS reporting requirements • Big 4 trained or equivalent industry background strongly preferred • Excellent stakeholder management skills • Ability to operate directly with the CFO, board, and external investors
