• Assist with a portfolio of claimant serious injury claims for Minster Law clients • Handle predominantly RTA-based cases involving complex technical issues and quantum, valued between £200,000 and £1,000,000 • Maintain full working knowledge of cases handled by the lead fee earner • Progress assigned case elements according to agreed action plans • Undertake chargeable work under the direction of the fee earner • Communicate regularly with clients and attend face-to-face meetings • Instruct and meet multidisciplinary experts, including medical experts, case managers, care experts, architects, forensic accountants, and counsel • Analyse evidence and research legal issues concerning liability, causation, and quantum • Draft statements, pleadings, and schedules of loss • Secure early interim payments, appropriate rehabilitation, and optimal client settlements • Act as a key contact for clients and other interested parties • Maintain and update the case management system • Liaise with Finance regarding disbursements and outstanding accounts • Produce core documents for client meetings, conferences, and settlement meetings • Support APIL, Headway, and SIA through networking, business development, case reporting, articles, and testimonials • Mentor and develop junior team members as appropriate • Work to a high standard in a target-oriented environment • Attend regular one-to-one performance meetings with the line manager
• Experienced legal professional capable of justifying a Grade C charge-out rate, including Qualified Solicitors and Fellows of CILEx • Proven track record of assisting with or managing serious injury claims • Ability to liaise with multi-disciplinary experts • Commitment to excellent client care • Excellent communication, negotiation, and objection-handling skills • Ability to achieve objectives in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment while maintaining high work quality and client care • Competence with case management systems • Good knowledge of Excel and Word • Strong attention to detail, organisational, and time management skills • Positive, self-motivated, and able to use own initiative • Team player able to mentor junior staff where appropriate • Desire to develop professional profile in the personal injury field • Ability to deal with changing circumstances and challenging situations • Willingness to travel for client meetings and conferences • Applicants must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom (implied by UK-based role and employer context)
