📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and grow a 2 to 7 person team of compiler, kernel, and runtime engineers • Participate in design reviews, architecture and prototypes, and code development and review for Mojo kernels, MLIR passes, and runtime integration • Deliver hardware platform enablement from viability and development-environment bring-up through compiler integration, kernel development, MAX serving, and production-quality model deployment • Scope Statements of Work, define milestones and acceptance criteria, negotiate timelines, and manage delivery against commercial commitments with hardware partners • Partner with Kernels, Graph Compiler, MAX, and Cloud teams on roadmaps, dependencies, FTE plans, and forecasts • Hire engineers, run interview loops, calibrate the team, and close senior candidates • Foster documentation- and demo-driven engineering practices around new architectures, ISAs, memory hierarchies, and vendor toolchains

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of industry experience in compiler engineering, high-performance computing, kernel development, or related domains • 2+ years managing engineers • Strong technical foundation in compilers, systems software, or accelerator programming • Ability to be hands-on with the team's codebase, lead architecture discussions, and review designs in MLIR/LLVM, kernel codegen, or runtime systems • Proficiency in C++ and experience working in complex, multi-component software systems • Hands-on experience with at least one heterogeneous programming model, such as CUDA, SYCL, or OpenCL • Track record of delivering multi-quarter technical roadmaps with external dependencies • Experience working directly with hardware vendor engineering teams • Experience scoping or negotiating engineering deliverables under formal agreements such as SOWs • Strong written communication
