📋 Description

• Enhance the MAX developer experience with tools for traditional and agentic workflows • Surface data through the entire AI stack and support heterogeneous hardware platforms • Design, build, and maintain profiling and tracing tools • Build debuggers and correctness-checking tools • Create metrics and dashboards to monitor MAX deployment performance and health • Create agent-native tooling and agentic workflows • Write agents to bring up models, triage running-system issues, and profile and optimize real workloads • Connect MAX tools across MAX, Mojo, driver APIs, and orchestration layers • Participate in design discussions and code reviews • Work directly with kernel, model, and serving engineers to turn recurring pain points into better tools

🎯 Requirements

• Passion for creating exceptional developer experiences • Experience designing, building, and shipping developer tools, developer infrastructure, or observability systems • Fluency in one or more systems/performance languages: C++, Rust, or Go • Fluency in one or more user-facing languages: Python; familiarity with Mojo is a plus • Experience measuring software performance via profiling, tracing, or benchmarking • Systems knowledge to analyze performance results • Clear written communication and ability to work independently in a distributed team • User-focused mindset and ability to learn users’ workflows • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience; OR Master's degree and 3+ years; OR PhD and 2+ years • 2+ years of work experience with a programming language such as Python, Mojo, Rust, C++, etc. • Candidates based in the UK • Helpful but not required: GPU performance tooling or GPU programming experience • Helpful but not required: knowledge of basic AI implementation and modeling techniques and familiarity with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow • Helpful but not required: experience building tooling for AI agents, such as agent skills or MCP
