📋 Description

• Deliver engineering of infrastructure technologies for cloud-based data and AI platforms • Ensure project deliverables achieve customer goals within a well-considered total cost of ownership • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code patterns, CI/CD pipelines and self-service capabilities across AWS cloud environments • Support secure, scalable and resilient data platform services • Maintain, manage and deploy technology infrastructure for functions or investment projects • Work with architecture teams to translate agreed designs into secure, scalable and reusable cloud platform solutions • Review deployment documentation for departmental infrastructure components • Provide base builds for development environments and hand them over to application and development teams • Build user acceptance testing environments and manage departmental infrastructure updates during system migration • Create technical test plans, record results and engage application and development teams in testing • Create technical implementation plans and runbooks for system deliveries • Work across feature teams to promote engineering standards, reusable patterns and Platform-as-a-Product principles • Collaborate across the bank to expand networks and provide exposure for engineering work

🎯 Requirements

• Strong understanding of infrastructure engineering and resilient, cost-effective platforms • Experience building and managing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform • Experience with cloud-native CI/CD platforms • Hands-on knowledge of AWS services including Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Lake Formation and SageMaker Unified Studio • Understanding of data governance, security and access management across cloud environments • Broad understanding of infrastructure layers or stacks, with knowledge across multiple platforms such as mainframe, middleware, network or a deeper specialism • Understanding of the roadmap of the area of expertise • Ability to work with design authorities to deploy cost-effective and resilient solutions • Significant experience contributing to roadmaps and strategies • Experience working closely with third parties, assuring output and managing performance • Experience implementing secure, reusable and self-service platform capabilities within cloud environments • Awareness of emerging data and AI services, such as Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker, and their adoption within secure and governed enterprise platforms • Good collaboration and influencing skills
