📋 Description

• Design and engineer software with customer or user experience as the primary objective • Help define major components of the business-wide target architecture and roadmap with architects • Deliver modern software development toolchains for engineers across the bank • Lead significant, complex, and technically challenging assignments • Coordinate multiple feature teams and ensure technical journeys support target realization and investor-reported metrics • Define, create, oversee, and govern engineering and design solutions focused on automation, simplification, resilience, security, performance, scalability, and reusability • Drive reliability, automation, and scalability across developer platforms including GitLab, Artifactory, and Ansible Automation Platform • Build a world-class developer experience by ensuring systems are robust, efficient, and easy to use • Define and develop architecture models and roadmaps for application and software components • Work with platform engineering teams, platform architects, GitLab, and Red Hat partners to shape CI/CD strategy, observability stack, and automation frameworks • Apply Kubernetes, GitLab, ArgoCD/Flux, and cloud-native technologies to improve platform reliability and performance

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience in software engineering, software or database design and architecture • Experience developing software within DevOps and Agile frameworks • Expert understanding of current market trends, technologies, and tools • Significant and demonstrable experience implementing programming best practices for scalability, automation, virtualization, optimization, availability, and performance • Strong background leading software development, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or platform engineering teams in a matrix structure • Experience introducing and executing technical strategies • Significant and demonstrable experience with test-driven development, automated test frameworks, monitoring, observability, and automation practices • Background designing or implementing APIs and highly available, resilient services • Ability to translate product, business, operational, and reliability requirements into technical solutions • Experience with code repositories, bug tracking tools, wikis, and observability platforms • Expertise in Kubernetes, GitLab, ArgoCD/Flux, and cloud-native technologies
