📋 Description

• Own product design for small to medium-scale projects • Define scope, approach, and timelines for product design • Make project-level product design decisions informed by research insights • Deliver user-centred, inclusive solutions aligned with project objectives, business goals, and experience design strategy • Balance creativity and innovation with brand alignment, accessibility, and technical constraints • Communicate design decisions and rationale clearly to stakeholders • Collaborate across disciplines to clarify objectives, share progress, and manage risks and alignment issues • Draw insights from research to make data-led design decisions • Design user experiences, information architecture, and prototype outlines end to end • Apply guidelines and standards and contribute to improvements in consistency, quality, accessibility, and inclusion • Act as a key stakeholder contact to manage expectations, support understanding, and influence decisions • Support programme-level design activities where required • Develop skills and domain knowledge and support colleagues through feedback and best-practice sharing

🎯 Requirements

• Understanding of user-centred design across UX and UI • Good working knowledge of product design, design systems, and accessible, inclusive design principles • Experience delivering high-quality user flows, interfaces, and prototypes informed and validated by user research • Portfolio demonstrating engaging, user-centred solutions and clear rationale • Clear communication skills and ability to explain design decisions confidently • Ability to engage and influence project stakeholders • Skills in design thinking, wireframing, interface design, information architecture, prototyping, and engineer handover • Experience managing and delivering product design projects at pace using Agile delivery methods • Confidence operating in multidisciplinary teams with researchers, designers, developers, and product managers • Strong willingness to learn and develop product design skills through hands-on experience
