📋 Description

• Produce security architecture designs for internal systems and customer solutions aligned with the overarching architecture framework • Conduct threat modelling and risk assessments for applications, platforms, and services • Produce security assurance documentation for internal governance, customer assurance, and formal accreditation activities • Work with Technical Architects and Enterprise Architects to ensure solutions are secure by default and proportionate to risk • Assess emerging threats and vulnerabilities, including CVEs, and advise on remediation • Support delivery teams with security advice and hands-on guidance • Present security designs and risk positions to the Technical Assurance Board • Support assurance decision-making • Contribute security architecture input to bids, sales activities, and security questionnaires • Support evaluation and controlled adoption of new security technologies • Continuously develop skills and knowledge in response to evolving threats, technologies, and standards

🎯 Requirements

• Security Architect or senior security engineer with strong design experience, or technical specialist ready to step into architecture and assurance • Practical experience designing and assuring secure systems • Strong understanding of security principles, non-functional requirements, and risk management • Confidence engaging stakeholders across engineering, architecture, and governance • Experience in regulated or public-sector environments is a plus • Familiarity with ISO 27001, NCSC Cyber Essentials, NIST, or CIS is desirable • Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK; documentary evidence required • Satisfactory vetting, references, and occupational health checks • Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check may be required depending on the role • Current Security Check (SC) clearance or higher, Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) Level 3, or ability to gain Enhanced Security Clearance in addition to the Baseline Personnel Security Standard
