Neuroendocrine Cancer UK is a national charity focused on supporting individuals living with neuroendocrine cancer and raising awareness of this uncommon and often misdiagnosed disease. Our mission is to provide information, support, and guidance for patients, their families, and healthcare professionals, while funding vital research to advance the understanding and treatment of neuroendocrine cancer. Neuroendocrine cancer is a type of cancer that begins in the neuroendocrine cells, which are found throughout the body. These cells release hormones that can regulate many body functions, and when they become cancerous, they can grow in almost any organ. At Neuroendocrine Cancer UK, we provide information on the various forms of neuroendocrine cancer, offer practical support for patients and families, and advocate for improved treatments and care pathways. We collaborate with research institutions, healthcare providers, and other cancer charities to ensure neuroendocrine cancer receives the attention it deserves.

📋 Description

• Review and support the redevelopment of relevant modules for the Electrical and Electronic Engineering and/or Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering pathways • Support the development of learning and teaching resources • Create and review teaching resources • Review course builds on NCUK's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) • Present support webinars for teachers • Contribute to focus groups and other consultation events as required • Attend training events as required

🎯 Requirements

• Relevant academic qualification at degree level • Relevant and current teaching experience • Current and comprehensive knowledge of the relevant engineering subject area(s) at Level 4 • Understanding of the key features of the qualifications system • Understanding of international learning and teaching contexts • Familiarity with qualification development processes and assessment techniques • Previous experience of teaching the relevant engineering subject • Experience of blended and online teaching (desirable) • Familiarity with using Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) or Learning Management Systems (LMS) for teaching (desirable) • Ability to communicate clearly and adapt to different audiences • Well organised, with the ability to prioritise and work independently to meet deadlines • Works well with others and can build positive working relationships • High level of cultural awareness and sensitivity to diverse educational contexts • Confidence in delivering sessions online • CV submitted in Microsoft Word or PDF format
