📋 Description

• Design, build and maintain backend services, APIs and core platform components using Java and Spring Boot • Own complex technical problems end to end, from design through production • Lead scalable solution design and contribute to architecture decisions across databases, caching, messaging and distributed systems • Optimize services for performance, scalability, security and fault tolerance • Set standards for code quality, testing, observability and documentation • Mentor Junior and Semi-Senior engineers through code reviews, design discussions and technical feedback • Resolve incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and identify refactoring and technical-debt reduction opportunities • Use AI-powered development tools to improve delivery speed, code quality and team productivity

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience with Java and Spring Boot, including the wider Spring ecosystem (Spring Data, Spring Web) • A good grasp of backend architecture, distributed systems, concurrency and scalability patterns • Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL ideally) • Comfortable designing and consuming REST APIs, with sensible error handling, versioning and documentation • A habitual testing practice — unit and integration tests (JUnit) • Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines and Docker • Willingness and ability to mentor others and raise the technical quality of the team • Strong communication and decision-making skills • Bonus: cloud platforms (AWS), observability stacks (Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry), event-driven architectures or messaging technologies (Kafka), and day-to-day use of AI coding assistants
