📋 Description

• Coordinate care and communicate pertinent medical information among the Injured Worker, Insured, and Carrier • Facilitate appropriate treatment, successful rehabilitation, and return to work • Deliver efficient, cost-effective communication for work injuries, MVAs, liability claims, LTD/STD, and other referred services • Follow the Case Management plan and retain accountability for the case management process • Accept assigned referrals and make initial contacts • Schedule initial assessments and obtain upcoming physician appointment dates • Confirm assignments with referral sources and clarify special handling instructions • Build professional client relationships and treat claimants with dignity • Maintain ongoing communication with the Injured Worker, Insured, and Carrier • Record data and billing in CaseAnyplace • Submit timely monthly Preliminary, Initial, Progress, and Closing reports • Attend physician appointments and obtain diagnosis, prognosis, treatment plan, rehabilitation length, estimated return-to-work status, and MMI/Full Recovery information • Refer to Vocational Counselors for job analyses when appropriate and approved by the Carrier • Recommend and coordinate IME physicians and attend IMEs • Coordinate transportation as needed • Provide translation as needed for bilingual nurses • Monitor treatment plans and attend therapy sessions when appropriate • Maintain contact with therapists for updates • Request file transfers to Vocational Counselors when appropriate • Assist the Carrier/Insured with modified or regular-duty return-to-work planning • Provide information to Defense Attorneys as appropriate • Promote teamwork with all staff members • Maximize accurate, appropriate billable hours toward the monthly target of 8 hours per day • Maintain responsibility for tasks delegated to non-clinical staff • Perform additional professional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse state license • Licensed in each state where field case management is provided • Ability to perform independent assessments within scope of practice • Practice in a U.S. state or territory allowing independent assessment within scope of practice • Completion of a nursing program • Ongoing continuing education as required • Maintain licensure and certifications • Complete required annual training on time • One or more national certifications within 4 years of hire (e.g., CCM, CRC, CLNC, CRRN) preferred • Two years of full-time-equivalent direct case management experience for injured workers or two years under supervision preferred • Ability to provide translation as needed for bilingual nurses • Ability to fulfill a monthly billable-hours target of 8 hours per day • Regular local travel of up to 2 hours in the assigned region
