📋 Description

• Help customers’ DBA teams with expert assistance • Gather relevant data and investigate database issues • Provide detailed, digestible analyses by email, instant message, or voice • Conduct screen-sharing sessions for serious and production-impacting issues • Help customers quickly navigate and resolve issues • Author blog posts for the open-source community • Answer questions on the forum • Create customer-facing knowledge-base articles • Host webinars and perform other community-support activities

🎯 Requirements

• Good hands-on knowledge of MySQL and InnoDB • Skilled with MySQL ecosystem tools and technologies • Knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and index tuning • Knowledge of backup solutions such as Xtrabackup and mydumper • Knowledge of Point-in-Time Recovery • Experience with high-availability solutions, including replication, routers, and proxies • Exposure to and practice with zero-downtime procedures • Good understanding of monitoring requirements • Demonstrable experience administering Linux-based systems • Ability to troubleshoot methodically, identify and apply fixes for known errors, and resolve complex issues • Self-taught and enthusiastic about learning new technologies • Availability to travel occasionally for team meetings, conferences, or customer visits • Experience working with customers in English • Kubernetes knowledge is very desirable • Experience working in SLA-bound operations is a differentiator • Open-source community contributions are a differentiator • Experience with screen-sharing and phone support is a differentiator • Knowledge of Galera, XtraDB Cluster, ProxySQL, or Orchestrator is a differentiator • Knowledge of AWS, RDS, Azure, or GCP is a differentiator • Knowledge of Percona Monitoring & Management and other monitoring tools is a differentiator • Knowledge of Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is a differentiator • Knowledge of Percona Toolkit is a differentiator • MySQL DBA professional certifications are a differentiator • Knowledge of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MyRocks, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, and advanced Linux troubleshooting tools is a differentiator
