β’ Maintain accurate financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments β’ Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC deadlines β’ Reconcile bank accounts and company ledgers regularly β’ Manage accounts payable and receivable β’ Assist Operations Manager with month-end and year-end financial reporting β’ Support audits and tenders by providing required documentation and information
β’ Proven experience in a similar finance role β’ Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and experience preparing VAT returns β’ Familiarity with accounting software (Xero) β’ Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy β’ Strong organisational and time-management skills β’ Ability to work independently β’ Good understanding of basic accounting principles β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel β’ AAT qualification or equivalent (support considered if this is something you would like to work towards) β’ Experience preparing management accounts β’ Experience working in a remote environment.
