📋 Description

• Develop infrastructure to capture billions of events • Process ingestion data reliably at high throughput • Provide processed data to product analytics, feature flags, CDP, and other PostHog platform areas • Own the ingestion pipeline service end-to-end • Build open-source software in Rust • Design and implement distributed systems and evaluate technology choices • Work in the hot path affecting customer and engineer experience • Deliver small, confident, frequent changes • Collaborate with a team distributed across North America and Europe

🎯 Requirements

• Europe/UK based • Experience building systems that process billions of events per day • Experience designing efficient systems handling terabytes of data • Understanding of data integrity and reliability • Experience with highly scalable, event-driven distributed systems • Experience developing multi-tenant software-as-a-service products • Experience with Node.JS, Go, Rust, or similar languages • Experience with Kafka and PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar systems at scale • Ability to ship changes quickly without breaking things • Nice to have: experience with customer data platforms or similar data analytics systems • Nice to have: experience carrying a pager and dealing with incidents • Nice to have: comfort provisioning and maintaining cloud infrastructure • Nice to have: experience with benchmarking and profiling tools • Nice to have: knowledge of observability systems and practices • Required GitHub submission • Required resume/CV • Required response regarding work sponsorship in the desired location
