📋 Description

• Partner with Account Executives on public sector and defence opportunities, including discovery, territory planning, solution direction, and progressing deals through the funnel • Act as a senior technical lead, mentoring and providing technical direction to less experienced Systems Engineers • Translate customer requirements into technical architectures, proposals, sizing, quotes, and solution concepts • Run technical presentations, demos, workshops, and follow-up sessions for government, defence, and defence industrial base customers • Enable and coach channel partner SEs through workshops, bootcamps, and joint customer engagements • Validate technical fit across storage architecture, protocols, virtualisation, infrastructure, security, and resilience requirements • Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Sales, Partners, Support, Product, and other internal teams • Participate in internal training, pipeline reviews, technical enablement, and knowledge sharing

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in pre-sales, systems engineering, solution architecture, or a similar customer-facing technical role • Experience ideally including public sector, defence, or defence industrial base customers • Strong grounding in storage and infrastructure fundamentals • Understanding of block, file, and object storage • Knowledge of FC, iSCSI, NAS, SAN, virtualisation, and VMware-style environments • Familiarity with UK government and defence procurement frameworks, including G-Cloud and Crown Commercial Service frameworks • Familiarity with security classifications and accreditation processes • Ability to lead consultative technical discovery and engage senior customers, prospects, and partners • Strong communication and presentation skills • Technical discovery and qualification skills • Experience working with or through channel partners and defence industrial base primes and SMEs • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and follow-through • Completed enhanced UK Government security vetting required • Ability to travel regularly across the UK and Ireland for customer and partner meetings
