• Monitor and resolve alerts via ServiceNow and TrueSight for Linux/Unix and virtualized systems • Troubleshoot filesystem, CPU, memory, swap, and agent issues • Execute approved standard changes such as service restarts, configuration updates, and agent reinstalls • Perform health checks and first-level troubleshooting for GPFS, LSF, OpenShift, and RStudio environments • Use Ansible Tower and Red Hat Satellite for patching and configuration management • Maintain and improve automation scripts and reporting tools for recurring operational tasks • Collaborate with the on-site team and L3 SMEs for escalated or hardware-dependent incidents • Participate in the on-call rotation approximately once per month, providing after-hours support for high-priority incidents • Coordinate tasks with other Support Engineers • Ensure ServiceNow tickets and incident bridges are properly updated during off-hours events
• 3–5 years of experience in Linux/Unix support within enterprise environments • Strong experience supporting RHEL 6–9 and Ubuntu 20/22/24 in production environments • Hands-on experience with VMware ESX, GPFS, and LSF • Working knowledge of OpenShift and RStudio services • Strong understanding of Ansible Tower, Red Hat Satellite, Puppet, and shell scripting • Experience with ServiceNow, TrueSight, and PATROL for monitoring and ITSM processes • Solid grasp of Linux networking and remote troubleshooting practices in large enterprise environments • RHCSA and/or ITIL v4 Foundation certification • Ability to work independently and effectively within remote, structured support operations • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills • Familiarity with AIX and other Unix platforms (HP-UX, Solaris)
