📋 Description

• Lead audit engagements from planning and fieldwork through to reporting and agreement of actions • Apply independence, professional scepticism and sound judgement to assess risks, controls and business processes • Build trusted stakeholder relationships while maintaining Internal Audit credibility and objectivity • Translate evidence into clear, concise and decision-useful insight for management • Identify themes, emerging risks and improvement opportunities • Influence through clear communication, constructive challenge and evidence-based discussion • Contribute to continuous improvement of Internal Audit methodology, quality and ways of working • Collaborate with colleagues across the Internal Audit team • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based, proportionate assurance focused on material risks and decisions

🎯 Requirements

• Experience delivering end-to-end internal audit or assurance engagements within complex organisations • Strong professional judgement and confidence to form balanced, evidence-based conclusions • Ability to work in an environment valuing outcomes, accountability and critical thinking over prescriptive, tick-box auditing • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build credibility, trust and influence at all levels • Commercial awareness and interest in how strategy, operations, risk and governance connect across an organisation • Excellent communication and reporting skills, including explaining complex issues clearly and translating findings into practical business insight • Curiosity and desire to understand root causes, broader implications and opportunities for improvement • Collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement • Experience in delivery-focused environments where quality, accountability and measurable outcomes matter • Experience within investment management, pensions, asset management or broader financial services is advantageous
