📋 Description

• Lead a small engineering team delivering AI-driven Usersnap product capabilities • Establish delivery rhythm through shared priorities, realistic timelines, visible workload, and project follow-through • Assess the codebase, tooling, and practices and define engineering standards for observability, testing, security, compliance, and architecture • Ship AI-powered features from prototype through production • Coordinate team workload, timelines, sequencing, and delivery commitments • Provide technical feedback through code reviews, design discussions, and 1:1s • Grow team capability and improve use of AI tooling without reducing quality • Own or steward architecture decisions, including model selection, integration approaches, and quality/cost/latency tradeoffs • Identify technical risks involving AI reliability, cost, and edge-case behavior • Work hands-on with LLMs, embeddings, and related AI tooling • Build across the stack with tested, monitored, and maintainable implementations • Partner with Product on requirements and priorities • Partner with company leadership on technical planning, resourcing, and sequencing

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience • Ideally 2–3 years of people leadership experience as a tech lead, engineering manager, or player-coach • Experience shipping AI features to production and owning their lifecycle from problem framing through post-launch iteration • Strong full-stack fundamentals across frontend, backend, and infrastructure • Practical experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, or similar techniques in live systems • Observability and testing rigor, including logging, monitoring, tracing, strong test coverage, automated testing, and evaluation of AI behavior • Solid SQL and schema design skills • Ability to design scalable data pipelines and systems • Experience defining success metrics, designing experiments, and running offline and online evaluations • Docker fluency, CI/CD, and versioning prompts, models, and datasets • Experience integrating multiple LLM providers and working with vector databases • Experience using LangChain or similar tools • Comfortable fine-tuning models when appropriate • Security and compliance experience, or strong interest in it • Ability to timebox AI development work and ship on schedule • Ability to independently identify problems and propose solutions • Comfortable owning outcomes in a lean team
