📋 Description

• Join Samsara's Developer Experience team within the broader Developer Experience organization • Scale in-house CI/CD systems for increased engineering efficiency and pull-request throughput • Reduce technical debt through efficient AI workflows • Design and build deployment safeguards that protect production at scale • Use AI to monitor and fix production issues • Build observability, evaluation, and feedback systems for AI-driven automation • Serve as a thought leader in using AI to increase engineering productivity while maintaining safety, quality, and signal • Redefine the outer loop of the SDLC with AI-native workflows • Turn emerging AI capabilities into safe, observable, production-ready engineering systems • Partner with product engineering teams to reduce operational toil and enable adoption of safe, AI-enabled delivery practices • Experiment with AI-assisted software development and convert successful experiments into company-wide platforms

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing and building products in a software engineering team • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience • 3+ years of experience working on developer experience, CI/CD and/or platform engineering-focused teams • Experience building AI workflows, orchestration systems, or other AI harnesses • Proven track record architecting CI/CD systems, build and deploy platforms, and automated response workflows • Experience with Buildkite or equivalent BYOC software • Proven experience working on large-scale enterprise software applications • Experience building and maintaining a large organization's Software Development Life Cycle (DevEx) • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP • Experience implementing AI-driven automation across the SDLC • Experience routinely applying AI tools across the workflow • High-quality coding experience in Go, Python, or equivalent • Experience orchestrating multiple AI agents at scale • Strong leadership and direction-setting skills • Forward-thinking approach to AI capabilities and advocacy for AI usage • Experience building in-house CI/CD systems • Experience with FedRAMP, StateRAMP, or other compliance requirements is ideal
