📋 Description

• Serve as the main point of contact and client services representative for a dedicated list of clients • Assist clients with project setup, including initial quotes, supply orders, sample receipt, data reporting, and invoicing • Build collaborative relationships with clients, laboratory operations, and the sales team • Participate in staff and client meetings to relay information about past, current, and upcoming projects • Liaise with the laboratory to ensure projects meet turnaround-time deadlines • Keep accounts project-managed, current, and accurate • Monitor project status and provide proactive updates to clients, laboratory operations, and sales • Understand project rationale, applicable regulations, and analytical methods • Document and execute client requests, including bottle orders, sample tracking, LIMS login, and change orders • Review project data and invoices for accuracy and completeness before sending final reports • Participate in offsite and/or virtual client meetings coordinated with the Sales team • Establish and set up laboratory protocols for complex or atypical analytical and reporting requirements • Train and delegate tasks to Project Manager Assistants and Project Manager I • Perform other duties as assigned to support SGS’s quality, service, and growth mission

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent industry experience required • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager I required • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred • 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager I preferred • Knowledge of environmental regulations is helpful, including NPDES and SW-846 • Ability to manage projects of intermediate complexity and/or annual analytical spend • Ability to build working relationships with clients and technical staff • Ability to understand project rationale, applicable regulations, and laboratory/client analytical methods • Ability to review project data and invoicing for accuracy and completeness • Ability to train and delegate tasks to Project Manager Assistants and Project Manager I • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations
