📋 Description

• Work closely with IT and HIM/Coding management, application analysts and departmental staff to build stable and secure integrated system solutions. • Provide ongoing maintenance and support of HIM systems. • Evaluate and deploy emergent and new technologies. • Act as liaison between technical staff and the HIM department. • Support Oracle/Cerner Health Information Management, Meditech Abstracting, 3M coding and reimbursement systems, Optum Integrity One, CDI, document type management, CAMM media storage, Nuance, related interfaces and other HIM applications. • Identify and resolve errors. • Implement software upgrades and enhancements. • Ensure daily or periodic application tasks are performed. • Coordinate user departments, vendors, programming or technical staff, consultants, physicians and affiliated personnel. • Provide knowledge and support for ROI, coding, deficiency tracking, chart completion, MRN and account merges. • Provide input into strategic planning. • Participate in and potentially lead new and upgrade application projects. • Document, test, communicate and resolve identified problems.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. • Certified in Oracle/Cerner HIM module. • RHIA, RHIT preferred. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Information Systems supporting applications in a health care setting. • Significant experience implementing, integrating and supporting in-house and ancillary applications. • Excellent project management and vendor management skills. • Participates in and may lead new and upgrade application projects. • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. • Analyst is responsible to document, test, communicate and resolve identified problems. • Knowledgeable of current application information technologies and trends in health care. • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
