📋 Description

• Design, code, and launch backend features and services for restaurant partners • Identify asymmetric technical opportunities that deliver disproportionate value • Own initiatives end-to-end from concept through production • Collaborate with product, design, and other teams to define, execute, and iterate solutions • Use appropriate technologies, including Python, Flask, Go, Ruby, and cloud services • Collaborate with a small agile team of 5 to 8 backend engineers • Review code and brainstorm ideas • Apply coding, testing, monitoring, and DevOps best practices • Write unit tests and maintain logging and alerting • Ensure services are reliable and performant in production

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience crafting scalable backend systems in Python (Flask) • Experience working with databases and cloud services • Comfortable using monitoring and logging tools • Technology-agnostic ability to quickly learn new languages or frameworks such as Go and Ruby • Experience working effectively on a distributed team and communicating asynchronously • Comfortable collaborating across different time zones and backgrounds • Strong product and customer focus • Ability to take initiative and own problems end-to-end • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment • No educational credential or minimum years of experience explicitly required
