📋 Description

• Serve as the first call for a portfolio of leaders on people matters, performance decisions, team decisions, and difficult conversations • Co-design progression, performance standards, evaluation, and reward frameworks • Handle performance management, difficult conversations, exits, and restructures end to end • Use AI and automation to streamline operational processes • Convert recurring employee and manager pain points into improved processes, tools, guidance, or self-service • Measure process effectiveness and redesign when needed • Coach and challenge leaders on people decisions, employment law, performance, potential, pay, and progression • Maintain consistency across the assigned portfolio • Design people frameworks suited to a non-hierarchical player-coach organization • Report to the Performance Service Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Real accountability for people decisions, including hiring, performance and exit decisions, either directly or through guidance to leaders • Ability to handle difficult conversations and balance efficiency with empathy • Experience working in or toward a high-performance culture • Ability to challenge and influence leadership decisions • Comfort operating without a playbook in a constantly changing company • First-principles thinking and ability to identify root causes, weigh competing considerations, and anticipate second-order consequences • Fluency with Notion, automation, and AI tooling • Clear written communication • Employment relations experience in the UK, Europe, or US is desirable • Experience working across multiple countries, including employer of record arrangements, is desirable • Compensation and benchmarking experience, including salary banding, pay review cycles, and market data, is desirable • CIPD qualification is not required • HR background is not required
