📋 Description

• Design control panels supporting HVAC systems, electrical power monitoring systems, switchgear interfaces, field instrumentation, networking equipment, and third-party vendor integrations in mission-critical environments • Incorporate Engineer of Record, MEP design packages, vendor submittals, network architecture documentation, project documentation, standards, and naming conventions into designs • Integrate submittal-based changes, points mapping, control interfaces, and vendor-specific requirements • Complete BMS and EPMS control panel drawings from templates or partial designs to final issue-for-manufacture readiness • Perform constructability assessments and validate installation feasibility, cable routing, power distribution alignment, and site-constraint compliance • Identify design risks or deficiencies and drive mitigation • Develop points mapping, wiring requirements, and vendor schematic integrations • Identify design simplification, cost-efficiency, and material-reduction opportunities while maintaining functional and redundancy requirements • Recommend improvements to panel architecture, wiring schemes, and component selection • Maintain revision control and submit drawings and documents on time • Incorporate commissioning requirements into deliverables for FAT/SAT/IST processes • Coordinate scope, schedules, and deliverables with cross-functional teams • Coordinate with panel manufacturers and vendors to resolve technical queries and support fabrication and assembly • Communicate with internal teams, customers, and partners • Act as a Design & Engineering subject matter expert supporting Project and Commissioning Managers • Support project leadership with risk identification, issue resolution, and delivery alignment • Identify and escalate technical risks, constraints, and scope changes • Adhere to company policies, QMS requirements, and safety standards • Support and enhance the Quality Management System • Promote structured engineering and documentation practices • Identify process improvements and drive continuous-improvement initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Science, Engineering, or a relevant discipline combined with relevant technical experience • 5–7 years' experience in electrical control panel design, controls engineering, automation, or systems integration • Experience supporting industrial automation, manufacturing, utilities, pharmaceuticals, water/wastewater, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects • Familiarity with IEC 60204, IEC 61439, and electrical drafting/documentation standards is desirable • Working knowledge of PLC, SCADA, BMS, and EPMS architectures and associated field instrumentation • Knowledge of drafting, design-documentation, and configuration-control methods using company-approved design tools, templates, standards, and document-management processes • Ability to work independently on engineering tasks • Proficiency in EPLAN and/or AutoCAD Electrical, with experience producing manufacturing-ready control panel designs; EPLAN experience preferred • Good understanding of instrumentation, control panels, and networked systems • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control narratives • Demonstrable troubleshooting and problem-solving capability • Effective communication and teamwork skills • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines • Sound decision-making skills and attention to detail • Commitment to quality, safety, and accountability
