📋 Description

• Own features end to end across API, web, and mobile: design, scope, prototype, build, test, ship, and refactor • Translate ambiguous product requirements into technical scope, including data models, API contracts, and implementation trade-offs • Drive architecture decisions for new and existing services to support increasing scale • Back architecture decisions with measured performance, capacity, and failure-mode evidence • Lead feature and story refinement • Research and analyze the impact of new capabilities before development • Partner with product to clarify priorities, resolve ambiguity, and create deliverable tasks • Raise engineering standards through code review and shared practices • Use Claude Code for AI-assisted scoping, code review, implementation, and ramping on unfamiliar systems • Build and support cloud-connected IoT fleet capabilities, real-time operational surfaces, and data-driven optimizations

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial full-stack software development experience • 3+ years of production experience with React Native • Cross-platform iOS and Android apps shipped and maintained through app-store releases • Excellent engineering judgment and solution-driven thinking • Strong proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript • Strong proficiency with Node.js and Express • Production experience with React and NextJS • Production experience with both SQL and NoSQL data stores • Experience with real-time systems, including WebSockets and event-driven architectures • Hands-on AWS experience with ECS or EKS, Lambda, Cognito, SQS, and CloudWatch • Comfort owning ambiguous problems and communicating technical decisions clearly in writing • Nice-to-have: embedded/IoT systems experience, such as MQTT and device fleets • Nice-to-have: serverless and microservices architecture • Nice-to-have: infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation • Nice-to-have: data-intensive or optimization/algorithmic work, big-data solutions, and data warehousing • Employment may be contingent upon an acceptable job-related drug test, motor vehicle report, and/or background check, as applicable and permissible by law
