📋 Description

• Lead development and delivery within Ticketmaster’s Abuse and Fraud Prevention portfolio • Deliver high-quality work, own outcomes, and align with team goals • Lead, manage, and inspire engineers • Participate in and lead development across globally distributed software teams • Ensure global applications are applicable to global markets • Organize and prioritize work, multitask, coordinate team efforts, and report progress to stakeholders and management • Gather information from UX, Design, Product, PMO, and other stakeholders • Develop short- and mid-term product strategies • Explore multiple approaches and recommend the best technical direction • Participate in service-layer architecture design • Create spikes and prototypes • Write exemplary code • Own the full software development and deployment cycle • Encourage and develop engineers • Debug and triage production application issues • Automate testing, deployments, performance, and recovery • Occasionally work out of hours or provide on-call duty on a rota basis

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrable lead engineering and development experience • Experience with Agile methodologies • Strong backend development skills • Proven ability to design and implement clean, scalable, well-structured APIs • Java 17+ or other JVM languages • Experience with modern frameworks such as Springboot • Test-Driven Development experience • Understanding of Continuous Integration practices • Knowledge of current software architectural trends and practices • Experience with Design Patterns and SOLID principles • Experience with AWS or another cloud provider • Experience with CI/CD servers such as GitLab or Jenkins • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or another orchestration/scheduling framework • Experience working in an SOA development environment • Working knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or another database product • Strong communication skills • Nice to have: Experience in DevOps • Nice to have: Familiarity with Prometheus, Graphana, and Splunk • Nice to have: Experience with Databricks or Spark • Nice to have: Experience with Terraform • Nice to have: Experience with Helm package manager • Nice to have: Experience with distributed systems • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in always-up, always-available services • Ability to clearly communicate technical topics to non-technical people • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment • Ability to learn quickly • Autonomous and proactive approach • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Ability to solve complex technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation • Ability to promote cooperation and commitment within a team • Ability to maintain relationships across organizational boundaries • Passion for technology, software development, and transformation • Desire to continually improve personal skills and transfer knowledge to others • Ability to take ownership of deliverables and collaborate across roles and teams • Ability to excel at cross-functional collaboration and resolve misalignments • Ability to make strategic prioritization trade-offs
