📋 Description

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver rail replacement bus services across remote locations in Greater London • Oversee day-to-day service delivery in line with schedules, routes, contracts, and regulations • Monitor punctuality, reliability, headways, disruptions, staffing, and vehicle movements • Lead, brief, deploy, coach, and support Rail Replacement Controllers and roadside Bus Controllers • Liaise with internal control teams and external stakeholders including Transport for London, Network Rail, and train operating companies • Coordinate driver instructions, changeovers, stand allocations, breaks, and operational records • Promote safety, enforce route risk controls, brief drivers, and escalate incidents • Support customer information and passenger assistance during disruptions • Support route familiarisation, risk assessments, resource allocation, site visits, and route surveys • Monitor KPIs, produce service and incident reports, and support post-operation reviews and continuous improvement • Reports to the Commercial Services Support Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in bus operations, ideally within rail replacement or high-frequency services • Experience managing or supervising operational teams • Strong understanding of service control, headway management, and disruption management • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Ability to work under pressure and make effective real-time decisions • Good knowledge of health & safety and regulatory requirements • Competent in using operational systems and reporting tools • Access to a smartphone for operational communication, company systems, and real-time service management
