📋 Description

• Deliver high-quality general and cardiac CT imaging across Medneo’s nationwide mobile services • Initially work alongside experienced cardiac CT practitioners while completing the structured development programme • Assess patients’ suitability for cardiac CT and identify clinical risks or contraindications • Review heart rate, rhythm, blood pressure, medical history and relevant medication • Prepare patients and explain procedures, medicines and contrast administration • Safely administer GTN and beta-blockers under the appropriate PGD or agreed clinical protocol • Undertake intravenous cannulation and safely administer contrast media • Recognise and manage adverse reactions and complications • Select and adapt cardiac CT protocols according to clinical presentation, heart rate, rhythm and body habitus • Perform coronary artery calcium scoring and CT coronary angiography acquisition • Perform adapted gated studies, including graft studies and TAVI studies • Use prospective and retrospective ECG-gated acquisition techniques with correct bespoke padding • Optimise image quality while minimising radiation dose in accordance with IR(ME)R requirements • Monitor patients throughout the pathway and provide post-procedure observations and aftercare • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and escalate concerns appropriately • Support and mentor Radiographers developing cardiac CT competencies • Travel nationally and adapt to different clinical locations and working environments • Following training and formal competency sign-off, independently deliver a safe, effective, patient-focused radiographer-led cardiac CT service • Report to the Regional Mobile Manager

🎯 Requirements

• HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer • Minimum of two years’ post-registration CT experience • Experience working with cardiac CT patients and supporting cardiac CT examinations • Strong knowledge of CT scanning principles, contrast administration and radiation safety • Experience with ECG-gated cardiac acquisitions or clear understanding of cardiac CT workflows • Competence in intravenous cannulation and contrast administration • Current immediate life support or equivalent emergency-response training • Confidence in assessing patients and recognising when clinical escalation is required • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and take professional responsibility for clinical decisions • Commitment to completing the full cardiac CT training and competency programme • Willingness to travel extensively and work across different locations nationwide • Full UK driving licence • Canon CT systems experience advantageous; training can be provided • Previous experience with cardiac post-processing software, ECG monitoring equipment, injectors and advanced cardiac reconstruction tools beneficial
