📋 Description

• Own the frontend for Virtual Agent products • Build and evolve customer-facing interfaces for AI-driven workflows • Re-imagine and refactor the existing frontend into a scalable, reusable platform • Develop shared component libraries, consistent patterns, and maintainable code • Apply product thinking to shape simpler and more useful customer experiences • Collaborate with product and design to turn intent into production-grade frontend code • Work closely with platform and backend engineers to ensure frontend support from APIs and services • Report to a Principal Engineer

🎯 Requirements

• Senior, product-minded React engineer with experience building and shipping startup frontends • Deep, expert-level experience building production React applications, including state management, performance, and testing • Deep understanding of TypeScript, modern React tooling such as Next.js and Vite, and design systems • Experience building multiple frontends from the ground up at startups • Understanding of tradeoffs between moving quickly and managing technical debt • Experience re-imagining and refactoring frontend codebases for product and team scale, including component libraries, design systems, and shared tooling • Hands-on experience using AI coding agents as a core part of the work, such as Claude Code or Codex • Strong product thinking and instincts • Advocacy of strong software engineering practices, standards, and culture • Willingness to remain hands-on for at least the next 12 months • Previous early-stage or founding engineer experience is desirable but not essential • Some full-stack exposure and comfort with backend or API work is desirable but not essential • Experience designing frontend architecture for AI-driven or data-heavy products is desirable but not essential
