• Deliver and support healthcare integration solutions connecting VitalHub products with customer and third-party systems • Perform technical discovery, interface configuration and development, testing, deployment, go-live, documentation, and transition to business-as-usual support • Contribute to new host-system interfaces, reusable integration patterns, and code-first development and deployment practices • Investigate and resolve support issues affecting deployed integrations • Coordinate technical work packages, priorities, dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones with Senior Integration Engineers and project teams • Provide technical input to customer requirements, estimates, implementation approaches, Statements of Work, delivery plans, and acceptance criteria • Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Product teams, customer technical teams, and third-party suppliers • Design, configure, develop, test, and deploy healthcare interfaces using Mirth Connect, BridgeLink, or related integration engines • Configure and extend integrations with Patient Administration Systems, Electronic Patient Records, Electronic Medical Records, Radiology Information Systems, and other clinical or administrative systems • Develop integrations using HL7 v2, REST APIs, JSON, XML, and related data-exchange patterns • Plan and support connectivity, message validation, system integration, user acceptance, regression, and production verification testing • Support deployment, cutover, go-live, post-go-live assurance, and rollback planning • Participate in planned out-of-hours deployments and time-critical implementation work • Investigate integration issues using messages, logs, code, configuration, databases, APIs, and diagnostic evidence • Produce solution designs, interface specifications, data mappings, test evidence, deployment and rollback plans, and operational handover materials • Contribute reusable integration patterns, shared components, host-system capabilities, and support documentation • Support code-first integration development using JavaScript, reusable modules, source control, peer review, command-line tooling, automated testing, and repeatable deployment • Participate in peer reviews and share technical knowledge with colleagues • Participate in customer meetings, technical workshops, delivery planning, project discussions, and incident investigations • Attend customer or third-party locations when specifically required • Provide transitional support to Implementation and other internal teams • Work in accordance with information governance, data protection, security, clinical safety, quality, and change management requirements
• Demonstrable professional experience developing, configuring, testing, deploying, or supporting system interfaces using an integration platform, middleware technology, or custom integration solution • Good practical understanding of systems integration concepts and common integration patterns, including message-based, API-based, or event-driven integration • Experience with structured data formats such as JSON, XML, delimited data, or comparable formats • Understanding of data transformation, validation, routing, acknowledgements, error handling, retries, logging, and monitoring • Experience with API-based integrations using REST, JSON, HTTP, authentication, and error-handling patterns • Experience delivering technical integration activities through requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and operational handover • Practical experience using a programming or scripting language • Ability and willingness to apply development skills to JavaScript-based interface development within Mirth Connect-based technologies • Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL • Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage technical activities, priorities, risks, dependencies, and scope changes • Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to produce structured technical documentation • Structured, quality-focused approach to design, development, testing, deployment, change control, and operational handover • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team • Willingness to learn healthcare integration standards, including HL7 v2 and Mirth Connect-based technologies • Willingness to adopt source-controlled, code-first development and deployment practices • Willingness to participate in occasional planned out-of-hours implementation activities • Willingness to undertake occasional UK travel when remote delivery is not reasonably possible • Nice to have: Mirth Connect, BridgeLink, or comparable integration platform experience • Nice to have: healthcare integration, NHS, or regulated-environment experience • Nice to have: HL7 v2, NHS workflows, FHIR, healthcare host systems, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Linux, Git, Visual Studio Code, Azure DevOps, CI, automated testing, deployment pipelines, security practices, DICOM, CDA, IHE, NHS APIs, or related qualifications/certifications
