📋 Description

• Troubleshoot Roadway Work Equipment for customers • Train customers on new and existing equipment • Put new machines into service, including training and demonstrating equipment at customer sites • Repair existing equipment at customer sites • Perform service, maintenance, and repairs to restore equipment to proper operation • Recommend repair parts and product improvements to customers • Advise customers on proper maintenance and operation of Nordco equipment • Prepare weekly travel expense records and field reports • Work with engineering and/or production to solve problems with new machines • Contribute to continuous improvement of equipment and processes • Travel to remote job sites • Work independently and build effective customer relationships

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an industrial or mobile heavy equipment mechanic • PLC and/or CanBus systems troubleshooting training strongly preferred • General mechanical experience • Extensive knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems • Ability to read schematics • Previous railroad experience a plus • Mechanical aptitude • Ability to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems • Ability to interpret written, oral, or diagram instructions • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in different situations • Ability to read and interpret business documents, technical procedures, schematics, governmental regulations, and professional journals • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, suppliers, and the public • Ability to work in an environment with diverse personalities and build strong customer relationships • Valid Driver’s License • Ability to travel 70%-80% • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. • Successful completion of a drug screen and fitness-for-duty test, as applicable
