📋 Description

• Provide administrative assistance to attorneys and paralegals, including drafting correspondence, transcribing dictations, and preparing legal documents. • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings and conference calls. • Organize and maintain electronic and physical files, ensuring accurate labeling and accessibility. • Serve as primary point of contact for client inquiries; respond professionally via email and phone in English and Spanish. • Assist with client intake procedures, gather necessary information, and maintain client databases. • Draft, edit, proofread legal documents (contracts, briefs, pleadings, memos) for accuracy and compliance. • File documents with courts, agencies, and other entities, adhering to deadlines and procedures. • Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, and regulations; summarize findings and prepare reports or memos. • Assist in preparation of legal arguments, briefs, and written submissions. • Support billing and invoicing processes, track billable hours, and prepare expense reports. • Collaborate with team members on special projects and initiatives to support firm objectives.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience working as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal assistant. • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation. • Proficiency in both English and Spanish with excellent communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal software applications. • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information and client matters. • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on new responsibilities. • Availability to overlap during the 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST business day. • Must attempt and complete pre-screeners during the application process.
