• Be an operational expert of the departments you support. • Act as a liaison between the business and People Operations COEs to ensure sound, consistent processes, procedures and initiatives. • Act as a change agent to ensure smooth adoption and clear communication with employees. • Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution, provide insightful data to guide decision-making, and recommend proactive solutions. • Solve problems and get to the root cause of any issue, and design and quickly implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines. • Provide expertise in career planning, performance management, coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, learning and development, recognition programs, and strategic development. • Build strong partnerships with client groups at all levels. • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance; partner with Yelp’s Legal team as required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant Business Partner experience, with an emphasis on employee customer service and problem-solving. • Understand HR best practices, including talent strategy, performance management, change management, and relationship building. • General understanding of employment law. • Proven track record of providing HR partnership, experience working with technical business groups is a plus. • Familiarity with Workday is a plus. • Demonstrate integrity through assertiveness and confidence. • Strong proactive communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
