📋 Description

• Coordinate with business users, vendors, and stakeholders to craft solutions considering functional and non-functional requirements • Develop and maintain business requirements, design documents, and project documentation • Lead the design and implementation of new components and functionality • Manage key tasks and initiatives and provide timely project updates to stakeholders • Liaise with test teams and stakeholders to ensure solutions are fully tested • Create and execute automated test scripts where possible • Evaluate new technologies and third-party solutions • Develop integrations with new and existing vendors • Design and develop robust, secure, and maintainable technical solutions • Create technical documentation, guidelines, and standards • Review and contribute to department standards and guidelines • Provide technical direction and leadership to junior team members • Mentor junior team members • Contribute to department goals and objectives

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional backend engineering experience with Java/J2EE and related JVM technologies • Strong hands-on expertise with Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Integration • Proven experience designing technical solutions from business requirements, including pragmatic architecture decisions • Experience building and maintaining microservices and distributed systems • Strong understanding of HTTP protocols and designing/consuming REST APIs • Experience implementing web application security best practices, secure coding, authN/authZ, and OWASP awareness • Strong SQL and RDBMS skills with Oracle/MySQL or equivalent • Proficiency with Git, modern IDEs, and collaborative development workflows • Working knowledge of Linux environments • Experience working in Agile teams with shared ownership and iterative delivery • Nice to have: experience developing SPAs • Nice to have: AngularJS / Angular (2+) or equivalent • Nice to have: Jenkins, Ansible, or similar DevOps tooling • Nice to have: Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other message-queue systems • Nice to have: financial services web solutions experience • Nice to have: translating high-level solutions into functional specifications and formal business requirements • Nice to have: excellent interpersonal skills and comfort working in cross-functional, distributed project teams
