📋 Description

• Perform remote ophthalmic triage by assessing patient symptoms • Obtain ocular and medical histories • Evaluate the urgency of visual complaints using established protocols • Determine appropriate disposition, including urgent, emergent, or routine care • Coordinate patient care by monitoring and responding to real-time communications • Collaborate with scheduling teams and providers • Review, prioritize, and respond to electronic medical record messages • Document patient encounters, triage assessments, clinical recommendations, and provider communications • Provide patient education regarding eye conditions, treatment plans, medications, and symptoms requiring escalation of care • Participate in quality assurance activities

🎯 Requirements

• Completion of Ophthalmic Technician training • Certification as a certified Ophthalmic Technician by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) • No experience required above education/training requirement OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
