📋 Description

• Reviews for acceptance or denial, assigned life applications with face amounts up to $1,000,000 fully underwritten • Determines and assures that appropriate information necessary to fulfill underwriting requirements has been requested such as; re-examinations, special exams, medical reports, database research, investigations and laboratory studies • Strong production life underwriting experience • Comfort with complex casework • Ability to review and interpret medical records/APSs • Strong technical underwriting knowledge and judgment • Experience working directly with agents and applicants • Efficient but thoughtful evidence gathering (not ordering unnecessary requirements) • Interprets MIB codes, and prepares data and reports to the Medical Information Bureau, which involves knowledge of MIB code meanings and procedures. • Provide support for contract change and reinstatement underwriting that may be required. • Prepares presentations for underwriters or sales agents that assist with training and development.

🎯 Requirements

• 2 year College Degree in Finance, Business or Economics • 1-2 years’ Life Insurance industry experience (sales experience or strong life insurance sales support and training) • Knowledge of life and annuity sales strongly preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel • Ability to provide strong customer service • Possesses some technology knowledge of insurance system applications and data • Works well in a team environment • Demonstrates proactive skills • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends, if required • Team player and self–starter, highly motivated, and results driven • Ability to effectively function in a fast-paced team environment • Demonstrates a high level of independence and creativity, and looks for opportunities to initiate and follow through on new projects and opportunities • Strong organizational and follow-up abilities • Ability to thrive in fast-paced challenging environment
