📋 Description

• Work under the oversight of an experienced team of engineers and scientists on environmental site assessments, remedial and solid waste design and construction, and environmental support on multi-disciplinary projects • Perform standard scientific work requiring application of techniques and procedures • Detect problems when using standardized procedures because of the condition of sample, difficulties with the equipment, etc. • Conduct specific phases of projects for more experienced scientists • Propose appropriate analytical methods and techniques • Assist in providing advice and consulting services within scope of scientific knowledge • Draw conclusions and make recommendations based on analysis • Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance • Work under general supervision • Flexible with working extended hours and locations, travel may be greater than 50 percent of time • Must be able to do day travel regionally

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in environmental sciences or engineering or other related fields • 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education • Valid driver's license • Subject to a pre-employment Background check • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test • US Citizenship or a permanent resident is required due to some of the sites • Master's Degree preferred • Willingness and ability to work outdoors in sometimes challenging conditions • Good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable liaising with clients, colleagues and sub-contractors alike • Willingness and ability to learn and rapidly master new tasks • Scientific research and report writing (including web based research) • Strong analytical and numerical skills • Excellent written and verbal skills • Strong quality and time management • Self-starter, develops and delivers work under own initiative • Solid attention to detail and thorough approach to work • Seeking professional certifications • 40hr OSHA HAZWOPER certificate • Microsoft Office, AutoCADD, GIS applications
